CHS swim teams compete in Packer Invitational

The CHS Syrupmaker and Syrupmaid swim teams competed last Saturday at Darton College in the Colquitt County Packer Invitational Tournament. The Syrupmakers finished second out of 12 teams, while the Syrupmaids finished 8th out of 16 teams.

James Bowen was the high point leader for Cairo with 27 points, while Drew Whigham was second with 20 points. Duke Posey earned 15 points while Robin Kemp finished with 14 points. Cairo's Tommy Mathis had 6 points and Cody Posey and Conner Whigham both had two points each.

In the girl's competition, Cairo's Jennifer Lane had 9.5 points, Katheryn prince had 5 points, Brooke Kirkland and Megham Ferrell both had 4.5 points, Kristin Roddenbery and Ashley Nix both had 1.5 points each. 

According to CHS swim coach Jeff Brown, Natalie Milko, Jacob Jones, and Joseph Strickland also swam well at the big meet. "I thought we had a great meet, this was a very big meet, and both of teams did a great job," said Brown.
